08.0506 COURT OF HONOR

On May 6, 2008, the second Troop 220 Court of Honor of the year was held. Dinner was a potluck. The Ram Patrol (+Shane) did a great job performing the flag ceremony! That was followed by the Scoutmaster handing out merit badges. Shortly thereafter, three Scouts lit the Scout candles while a solemn remembrance of what it means to be a Scout was read. Lastly, the ranks were given out.

Scouts advancing in rank: Jonathan (two ranks!), Kevin, Gabe, Michael, Jordon, David, Luke, Scott -- well done, all!

SM Odell presented commendations from Faith in Action to members of the Bear Patrol for their service.

There was an excellent choice of food coordinated by Mrs. Odell. (The tuna casserole was delicious!)

A slideshow by Mrs. Odell showed a lot of activities that Troop 220 has done in the last year. This is a very active troop.

The next Court of Honor will be after summer camp. Summer camp is a great opportunity to work on rank, especially Trail to First Class. The troop has several Scouts who are just shy of another rank. Our next COH should have many advancements!
