COURT OF HONOR - September 08, 2007

What a magnificent Court of Honor! We are so very proud of all these boys. So many different rank advancements, merit badges, and achievements. Every single boy in the troop worked hard to earn something, from Totin' Chips to Star and everything inbetween. Scoutmaster Emeritus, Bill Macaras, led the ceremonies. Parents were definitely bursting buttons as they watched their young Scouts take one more step on the road to manhood.

The ceremony opened up with the Eagle Patrol carrying the colors. It set the tone: serious, proud, solemn, and with unspeakable joy at being part of this troop and organization. The SPL and ASPL ran a well-prepared and smooth program that gave all observers a better understanding of Scouts and the Troop.

Several of our Scouts earned rank on their Trail to First Class. Others earned Merit Badges. Totin' Chips and Mile Swim awards rounded out the program. One special moment was Mr. Burris' speech to the new Stars, reminding them of the responsibility they have now taken as leaders. It was very touching to see how serious these fine young men take the care of others.
