LOCAL CPR RESOURCES

CPR is a requirement across several advancements and merit badges. It's a good skill to have. Obtaining the CPR training can sometimes be frustrating, especially if you're on a tight budget. Here are some local resources, at low or no cost.

The Bremerton Fire Department offers basic CPR classes every third Wednesday of the month from 8:30 - 5:30 at no cost.

CPR for Teens. On the last Saturday in January each year, the Seattle Red Cross sponsors a free CPR Saturday for teens at the Kitsap Mall. Here's the 2007 flyer. Signups begin in December at cprsaturday@seattleredcross.org.

CPR Sunday - Every year on the second Sunday of October, the Elks Club and the Tacoma Fire Department offer a free CPR (adult, infant, and child) certification course. Certification cards are awarded at the conclusion.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue. Already finished with your first aid? CKFR offers CPR-only class twice a month at NO COST. Scouts are welcome. 360.447.3550

Pierce County Fire District offers a full 8 hour CPR/1st aid course for $40.

CPR-only classes are offered for $15 through the Caregiver Training Program (emphasis on elderly adults.)
