Come Help Build New Troop Storage Area Saturday! April 19th
KPCC has a lot of changes coming. One is that we are building a new storage room for the Troop in the back corner of the gym. We need a few adults to help out on Saturday with the build. We will also be working on this after picking brass on Sunday.
$ Earn Money for Summer Camp $
A great opportunity to earn dollars to help pay for summer camp is this Sunday. Show up with your family anytime between 9:00a.m. until 2:00 to collect brass. Directions will be e-mailed separately. Bring a bucket and a pad of sorts to sit on. Hot dog lunch provided or bring your own sack lunch.
( Note: The vote was to contribute 25% of the dollars back to the Troop to cover a variety of monthly camping costs and troop purchases.)

A Great Day for an Easter Egg Hunt!
Troop 220 is always happy to assist the Key Peninsula Civic Center to put on this annual event for the KP community. There were plenty of eggs to go around and lots of candy to be had on a very beautiful sunny day. Thanks to all our scouts and parents for lending a hand.
Citizen of the Year Banquet—THANKS!
Hugh McMillan sends a big “Thank you!” from the Lions Club, our Charter Organization. On the same day as the Egg Hunt, the scouts not only set-up the tables for the banquet, but also came back that evening to conduct a terrific Colors ceremony for the event. Great job & great dedication!
Adding Flag Poles at Vaughn Cemetery
With post hole digger in hand scouts and parent volunteers cemented in 27 new flag pole holders to the “Aisle of Flags.” The KPVI were greatly appreciative that we were able to get so much done so quickly. Thanks for all the hard work!

March Recap:
Camp-out Report – Fort Flagler
A great day to enjoy the beach followed by a snowy Sunday to make tracks as the scouts explored the Fort. Fort Flagler was a great location for many accomplishments and fun. The scouts completed some community service cleaning up the beach of tires, a sand filled boat, a buoy, and some trash. The scouts also worked on TTFC with Knife & Ax training by Mr. Odell and fire building with Zac. The food was plenty and good with the added dutch oven desserts and campfire baked apples. The boys topped their outing with a trip to the museum and exploring the fort. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out!
Annual Troop 220 Swim Party
This was a great family event and fun for all at the Peninsula Pool! Along with the free swim, we had several boys complete their swimming rank achievements, as well as a brave contingent take on the challenge of proving their water survival skills to work on their Swimming merit badge. These scouts should check in with Mr. Burris to get an updated blue card and discuss plans for completing the merit badge.
Thanks to Mrs. Pernu, Mrs. Travis, and Mrs. Martinez for serving up the ice cream and snacks to top off the event as well as all our scout and adult volunteers that manned training or merit badge stations including Luke and Scott.
