The Bear Patrol is made up of the older Scouts in the troop. Most are already First Class, and those that aren't are working toward it.

We are trying to become an honor patrol. Here is what we have to do:

The National Honor Patrol Award is given to patrols whose members make an extra effort to have the best patrol possible. Your patrol can earn the award by doing the following over a period of three months:

  • Have a patrol name , flag , and yell . Put your patrol design on equipment and use your patrol yell. Keep patrol records up to date.
  • Hold two patrol meetings every month. Jan: Advancement Day; Feb: Bowling; Mar: Nisqually Hike. Second meeting is patrol corners.
  • Take part in at least one hike, outdoor activity, or other scouting event.
  • Complete two good turns or service projects approved by the patrol leaders' council.
  • Help two patrol members advance one rank. Elisha and Conrad
  • Wear the full uniform correctly (at least 75 percent of the patrol's membership). 80, 100, 100 , 100, 89, 100, 100
  • Have a representative attend at least three patrol leaders' council meetings. Jan: Zac; Feb: Zac; Mar: Duane
  • Have eight members in the patrol or increase patrol memberships over the previous three months. 9 members.

Also, here is our tentative schedule for patrol days for 2008:
