VAUGHN CEMETERY AISLE OF HONOR

Every Memorial Day, the Key Peninusula Veterans Institute raises 256 flags to honor fallen soldiers at the Vaughn Cemetery. It's a beautiful tribute featuring a U.S. Navy band, a color guard, a rifle team, a trumpeter, singers, a Salute to the Fallen, and a naming of the veterans whose flags are displayed in “The Aisle of Honor.” Most of our active Scouts showed up at 7 a.m. to help with the set-up. As an Eagle Scout, Aaron had the privilege to participate in the ceremony.
