ROBB'S COURT OF HONOR

As a Cub Scout, Robb did not intend to continue on to Boy Scouting. Only when his brother, Rhys, became an Eagle did Robb recognize the ideals of Scouting that it represented. Robb was quick to join the troop that he had attended before only as a visitor during his brother's regular meetings.

Always thinking that he had joined late and needed to make up for lost time, Robb was very active in Scouting from the beginning. With his talent ofr organization, he was quickly appointed to the position of Troop Librarian. He alphabetized the titles and proposed a new labeling system to keep accurate records of all the troop's books. Robb later served as the Troop Quartermaster where he rearranged and labeled all of the shelving in the storeroom to make the supplies more accessible. After serving as leader of the Bear Patrol and attending Bushmaster, the National Youth Leadership Training summer camp, Robb was elected to the position of Senior Patrol Leader.

During the past three summers, Robb volunteered and worked at the Hahobas Scout summer camp. Between feeding and teaching the campers Robb spent his free time attending merit badge classes. He was also able to join his troop for its own summer camp at Shushwap Lake in Canada.

Robb's favorite experience in Scouting has been his involvement in Scouting's national honor society, the Order of the Arrow. After passing the ordeal in the summer of 2005, he ran for and won the office of secretary/treasurer in his local chapter. Last summer, Robb attended the National Order of the Arrow Conference in Michigan along with more than 8,000 Arrowmen. Robb now serves as the Chapter Chief and will soon be attending Conclave in Anchorage. In 2006, Robb was one of three youth recipients of the OA Nagatamin Award for service, and was chosen as Arrowman of the Year by his Lodge.
