SCULPTURE

Earn a badge in one day? No, this is not a merit-badge mill (*). Angela Perryman, owner of Claywerks Studio in Bremerton offers a Sculpture class specifically for Scouts. She is registered as a Sculpture Merit Badge Counselor, and will tailor the two-day class specifically to the requirements. She offers a *CONSIDERABLE* discount to Scout troops when the class is done with four or more Scouts. We went with a group of ten Scouts and had a blast! It's amazing to see a different side of some of the Scouts.

Yes, you can do the requirements another way. But the purpose of the Professions section of Merit Badges is to learn from the experts, those who make their living in the field. Contact Angela at 360-377-2354. Claywerks Studio is located at 322 Callow Avenue, Bremerton, WA 98312.

*merit badge mill - a venue, usually revenue-generating, that stretches the limit of the "no more-no less" policy, specifically the "no less" portion. Scouts may earn the badge, but they're not usually getting much out of it other than a piece of cloth.
