TENTS

Our tents are 3-man, 3-season tents that cost about $180 each. Three Scouts can sleep in a tent, but it can be somewhat crowded. As a reult, there are normally only two Scouts per tent, except with an odd number. The following procedures are in place for the safety of the Scouts, and to ensure that the tents remain in good condition for as long as possible:
  1. No open flames in the tents.
  2. No food in the tents (There are rare occasions that this is waived, but only under the direction of the Scoutmaster).
  3. No shoes in the tents. Shoes must be removed prior to entering the tent, and left in the vestibule.
  4. There must be at least two Scouts per tent.
  5. Scouts sleep with Scouts, not adults.
  6. Adults can sleep one per tent, but they are responsible for carrying the extra weight. Personal tents can be used by the adults, but not by the Scouts.
  7. A groundcloth must be used under each tent.
